Meridian Project Systems Unveils Prolog LT
Meridian extends project management to construction companies serving regional/local markets
FOLSOM, Calif. (March 24, 2003) -- Meridian Project Systems® (Meridian), a leading provider of project management software and ASP solutions, today unveiled Prolog® LT. The newest member of the Prolog application suite, Prolog LT is designed specifically for mid-sized construction companies. Prolog LT manages costs, documents, and daily construction activities in one easy-to-use and powerful project management system.
"We are excited to bring Prolog LT to customers who might not otherwise use professional project management tools," said Meridian president and cofounder, John Bodrozic. "Now mid-sized contractors as well as subcontractors have an affordable solution to fully control their current project workload. Managing all projects in one place, Prolog LT reduces project delays and mistakes otherwise inevitable when using multiple spreadsheets, word processing documents and hand written files," said Bodrozic.
Prolog LT improves profitability and reduces project risk by consolidating multiple spreadsheets, word processing files, paper-based forms, drawings and other important documents in a single, easy-to-access database. Prolog LT is built on the power of industry standard Prolog Manager, and then tailored to the needs of regional and local construction companies. Available today, Prolog LT is powerful enough to manage daily construction activities, but at a price point that can easily fit within today’s tight software budgets.
Prolog LT allows construction companies to share project information within their company and with clients and subcontractors. Instead of wasting time searching for information, Prolog LT allows users to answer questions quickly, keep an eye on contracts, changes, and billings; track what’s been accomplished, and determine what needs to happen next. Prolog LT is a flexible software solution that can be installed on laptops, desktops and small networks.
Prolog LT provides three main modules:
- Contract Management – Manages all financial
project information.
The Contract Management module controls the status of all contracts, change orders, invoices, billings, and requests for quotes, all from one central location.
- Office Management – Offers document control
and process management, increasing individual efficiency and project
success.
The Office Management module controls the submittal, RFI and drawing distribution processes. It also provides tools to track project meeting minutes, conversation records, Hot-list items and more.
- Site Management – Keeps on top of day-to-day
construction activities.
The site management module instantly monitors productivity of company and subcontracted labor. Documents everything that happens on projects including weather, material-delivered, equipment-used and labor-expended. Manages safety programs, quality control programs, equipment testing, inspections and the overall punch list.
According to early customers, Prolog LT enables business owners and project managers to manage costs, documents and day-to-day construction activities. “Besides managing costs, documents and daily reports, one of my favorite Prolog LT features is the summaries that can be displayed for most everything!” said Ruperto C. Gonzalez IV of Northbridge Communities. “Prolog LT helps settle a lot of disputes before they become problems and leaves me time to do what I need to do - be out in the mud with my team to make sure that the proper size steel is installed in the correct amounts!” said Gonzalez.
