Meridian Project Systems' First Asia/Pacific User Conference a Big Success
Meridian and ProjectAIMS event attracts some of Hong Kong's largest builders
Folsom, Calif. (April 11, 2002) - After record-breaking sales in the Asia Pacific region, Meridian Project Systems (Meridian), in conjunction with channel partner ProjectAIMS, produced the first ever Meridian Hong Kong user conference titled Insight of e-Construction. Meridian is a leading software and application service provider of project management solutions.
Seventy-six users, representing more than twenty Hong Kong-based companies, attended the Meridian Hong Kong user conference. Construction professionals from companies including MTR Corporation, Swire Properties, Henderson and Dah Chong Hong were featured speakers covering their success with Meridian project management solutions within their organizations. Specifically, these companies shared their implementation strategies and distributed detailed project case studies.
The conference included sessions on various deployment strategies for Meridian' Prolog Manager and different functional uses of Meridian applications including collaboration and cost control. ProjectAIMS discussed integration successes for interfaces between Prolog Manager and financial applications such as Oracle, as well as custom applications designed to integrate Prolog Manager's site management module with "Smart Card" solutions that tracks labor entering and exiting project sites.
John Bodrozic, Meridian president, along with other Meridian staff delivered presentations to update the Hong Kong customer base on Meridian' future vision within the Asian market. The Hong Kong user conference also became the international launching pad for Meridian' Prolog Scheduler, the company's most recent release. Customers were impressed with Prolog Scheduler's unmatched ability to allow inter-departmental collaboration on project data in real time, via the Internet, from any computer with a browser.
"The success and achievement of our company is accomplished through the quality implementation of Meridian products into our key clients' systems," said Jimmy Tse, president of ProjectAIMS, in his opening comments. "Our relationship with Meridian and its skilled, trained staff enable us to meet the needs of our clients. The superior service and market that we represent provides the best study of the use of Prolog in the Hong Kong market. This study lends itself to the expansion of Meridian product usage throughout Asian markets like China and Singapore."
Bodrozic later commented, "The success of this Hong Kong user conference has established Meridian in the Asian market and makes our international customers aware of our strong commitment to service them on a global level. We hope to hold more events like this in various parts of the world."
Meridian will hold its sixth annual North American user conference this September, in California.
