Meridian Project Systems Expands Presence in Asia Pacific Region
New regional office to meet growing demand for Proliance among international real estate and construction companies
FOLSOM, Calif. (April 23, 2004) — Meridian Project Systems® (Meridian), provider of leading-edge enterprise software solutions for the real estate, construction and facility (RCF) lifecycle, announces the opening of its new Asia Pacific office located in Sydney, Australia. Meridian is commemorating this new office opening with two launch events featuring its enterprise software solution, Proliance®.
Over its eleven-year history, Meridian has built an active customer base in the Asia Pacific region through the efforts of its dedicated channel partner network. Today, Meridian has established customers in retail, construction, engineering, transportation and government. The opening of a dedicated Asia Pacific office will help Meridian to meet the growing demand for enterprise software solutions that manage capital-intensive construction initiatives.
"Asia Pacific-based enterprises that manage processes throughout the RCF lifecycle need a solution that improves financial performance and reduces project risk," said S.T. Rajan, Meridian director of sales for the Asia Pacific region. "Proliance uniquely allows companies to get facilities operational sooner and new products and services to market faster. I am excited to lead Meridian's expansion into this part of the world," finished Rajan.
Separate launch events in Sydney and Hong Kong will provide partners, clients and prospective customers with an overview of Meridian, its Asia Pacific business charter, and an introduction to Proliance.
Built completely on Microsoft’s .NET application framework, Proliance uniquely leverages XML technology and Web services to manage projects, programs and business processes across global organizations and their external supply chains. As strong business opportunities emerge in the Asia Pacific region, Meridian sees Proliance as an ideal fit for companies operating internationally that need multi-currency and multi-language support.
Taking place in both Sydney and Hong Kong, these events will feature key Meridian executives and notable speakers from prominent local companies. Meridian is also a Microsoft certified partner, and will feature Microsoft representatives talking to the value of .NET, Office 2003 and other Microsoft technologies that are leveraged in the Proliance solution.
