Meridian Appoints New Sales Executives to Drive Global Expansion
New Sr. VP of Global Sales and Enterprise Sales Director round out worldwide sales force
FOLSOM, Calif. (June 9, 2004) — Meridian Project Systems®, provider of enterprise software solutions for managing large real estate, construction, corporate infrastructure and other capital-intensive initiatives, announces the appointment of Mark Carrington to senior vice president (SVP) of global sales, and the appointment of Jim Norry as director of enterprise sales.
As the SVP of global sales, Mr. Carrington will develop the strategic goals for both direct sales and channel sales, worldwide. From a sales geography, Mark is responsible for all sales in North America; from the EMEA office located in Düsseldorf, Germany; and from Meridian's Asia Pacific office recently opened in Sydney, Australia.
As enterprise sales director, Mr. Norry will lead Meridian's North American enterprise sales team. These new sales management additions complement the recent hiring of Sri T. Rajan, new Meridian director of sales for the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Carrington has a strong and successful sales background that includes 11 years with IBM. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Carrington acted as a business unit executive, at one point directing global alliances that drove more than $500 million in IBM sales. Mr. Carrington left IBM and joined DiviCom as vice president of sales and service. During his tenure, revenue increased by over 300 percent and the company was eventually sold to Harmonic Inc. for $1.7 billion. He also has sales experience with emerging high growth companies in building sales infrastructure and bringing new products to market. Mr. Carrington earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in marketing from California State University, Sacramento and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Norry brings to Meridian a deep background in sales management and strategic account sales that features more than 10 years at Sprint. During this time, Norry created and managed sales programs that increased revenues by 125 percent from national accounts including MetLife, Boatmens Bank and AllState Insurance. Mr. Norry will also leverage previous tenures at MCI, Agilent Technologies and Siemens in developing multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts. Mr. Norry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing with an emphasis in economics from Michigan State University.
