Meridian Project Systems Named One of Technology's Hottest Companies
Constructech Magazine ranks Meridian as innovative technology provider for facility management and construction
FOLSOM, Calif. (July 8, 2003) -- Meridian Project Systems® (Meridian), a leading software and application service provider of project management solutions, has been named one of Technology's Hottest Companies of 2003 by Constructech Magazine. The first annual award honors software vendors for the construction and facility management industries that have developed a truly valuable solution and demonstrated what sets its company and solutions apart from the competition.
Meridian develops project management software that reduces costs and schedules on large corporate real estate projects and other capital-intensive construction initiatives. Meridian products are used by over 7,500 of today's leading business enterprises, government agencies, and AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) firms to accurately plan, budget, and track all aspects of the real estate project lifecycle.
The Constructech Technology's Hottest award highlights the best of the best among vendors today that have not only demonstrated solid revenue growth, but have also landed some very impressive customers along the way. Hot companies are chosen by a majority vote of the Constructech editors.
"The editors of Constructech believe Meridian is consistently striving to change the construction landscape with the highest level of technological innovation, the broadest array of products and services, and a continued commitment to placing the customer first and foremost," said Peggy Smedley, Constructech editorial director and publisher. "We are truly proud to recognize Meridian as one company to receive unanimous endorsement by our panel of industry experts," added Smedley.
Of the slightly more than 100 construction firms polled in Constructech's 2003 National Construction Technology Survey, a resounding 86% consider project-management software as significantly important. Meridian was rated as the best vendor in the survey for project management (25.3%)
"Meridian is honored to be named one of Technology's Hottest Companies by Constructech," said Jim Olsen, Meridian chief executive officer. "Today's customers demand vendors who demonstrate a matrix of solutions, with different functionality and different deployment choices. This designation validates Meridian' strategy of providing unique project management solutions to our different market segments, including Prolog®, ProjectTalk and Proliance®," added Olsen.
Prolog, Meridian flagship product, has grown from a single product into a six-member product family, including Prolog LT targeted to local and regional AEC firms. Meridian was the first software vendor to provide both self-hosted software solutions and a hosted deployment offering with ProjectTalk, released in 2000, and now numbering more than 5,000 paid memberships.
Meridian recently launched Proliance, a new paradigm for managing projects, programs and organizational processes across global and large national companies. Targeted toward large facility owners, and architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) companies, Proliance is Meridian' third-generation Internet technology platform enabling the benefits of business process management across the enterprise.
Meridian has an impressive track record of revenue growth over its ten-year history, and has been listed two years consecutively as an Inc 500 Fastest Growing Company (based on a 5-year track record of revenue growth).
Additionally, Meridian ranks as the market share leader in project management software used by general contractors over $250 million in revenue. Meridian is also the market share leader in project collaboration software for all contractor types over $250 million in revenue*.
