Product Tip of the Month – Prolog®Transferring Your Prolog License to a New Server or ComputerBy William Atchison, Manager - Meridian Customer Support Center Have you needed to move your Prolog license to a new server? Not sure how to make the move successfully? Take a look at the link above to make the license process go smoothly. This tech tip is written for the Prolog version 7.2. For previous versions, please refer to the licensing help available within the application. Changing to a new server can be a daunting process. But moving your Prolog license to the new server can be done using the direct transfer process. With the proper rights, you can move your license to another Prolog installation on a local area network or workgroup. This process can also apply to moving the license from one desktop to another. Two requirements exist when transferring licenses. If you have a serial number with multiple licenses, you must transfer all the licenses associated with the serial number. Also, if you store licenses for more than one serial number on your computer, you can only transfer the licenses for one serial number at a time. To transfer licenses to another desktop or server installation of Prolog Manager, please follow the steps below.
Hopefully this tech tip was helpful. If you have any questions regarding transferring licenses, please check the online help database or contact our support services team. |
