Product Tip of the Month – Prolog®Prolog: Setting Custom Nomenclature You can customize your nomenclature in Prolog Manager quickly and easily, to allow field names, grids and tooltips to display helpful information. The fields, grids, and tooltips within Prolog Manager may not always provide you with the most intuitive explanations of what is required for that particular field, what functionality it may serve, or how the information may apply to your company. Changing the name of the field, grid, or associated tooltips can be done easily by following the example listed below: In this example, we will modify the form name, edit the field labels and set tooltips for the “HotList” form.
At this point, your form should display a new name, and the “Description” field should read “Task Details.” When placing the mouse over “Task Details,” it will now show the tooltip: “Detailed description of the task” Most label and grid names within forms can be modified by simply right-clicking on the current name and selecting “Edit Label.” By default, the label will update for the entire database on the machine you are currently using. You can deselect the “Default for Database” selection to allow for updating only certain projects that the new label change will affect.
