Product Update – Prolog ® New Functionality and Fixes in Prolog 7.5 With the release of Prolog Application Suite 7.5 comes some new functionality and fixes. You may be asking yourself what is the best practice for upgrading my company to this new release so your users can take advantage of the new features. Please click the link below to read about how to safely and efficiently upgrade your databases, templates, and Prolog Manager. Prolog Manager 7.5 did include some database structure changes to incorporate the new functionality. In order to avoid database corruption you should follow this procedure when upgrading. This procedure is taken from KB 7880 titled, “What is the Proper Procedure for Upgrading to Prolog 7.5?” This information is also in the version 7.5 Prolog Manager readme file. FIRST, Backup all your databases. This can be done quickly in Prolog Administrator under database manual backup. You can select all your prolog databases to be backed up all at once. Do not upgrade without backing up. It is important. Second, make a note of what build of Prolog Manager you are running before the upgrade. If you are running version 7.0 or earlier you need to do all of the steps below. If you are running version 7.0 SP1 or up to version 7.01 you can skip up to step “B”. If you are running version 7.2 or higher go straight to step “D”.
After following the steps above that apply to your situation you should be finished with the upgrade to version 7.5. Please contact technical support if you have any questions regarding our upgrade process.
