Meridian Systems® and JumpStart Wireless™ Demonstrate Integration
at
2005 World of Concrete Tradeshow
New marketing and technical alliance brings integration between wireless application and Proliance®, Meridian’s infrastructure lifecycle management (ILM) solution
FOLSOM, Calif. (January 13, 2005) — Meridian Systems, an enterprise solution provider for optimizing the plan, build and operate phases of real estate, construction and other infrastructure programs; and JumpStart Wireless announce a marketing and technical alliance. JumpStart is the developer of the most advanced wireless application platform for businesses.
The alliance will allow customers to extend the facility and construction management features of Meridian’s Proliance solution to mobile workers, providing real-time information to business executives and system users responsible for large field operations. The integration between Proliance and JumpStart’s BusinessSuite™ is available for demonstration January 18-21, 2005 at Meridian’s World of Concrete/Technology for Construction booth #N1937 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nev.
Proliance combines project and portfolio management functionality, business process management and business analytics for companies that rely on facilities to deliver their core businesses. BusinessSuite provides wireless capability for project tracking, work orders and crew reporting on handheld devices. Using the Proliance and BusinessSuite integration, supervisors, engineers and technicians in the field receive daily work and database changes wirelessly and in real time. Throughout the day, up-to-the-minute information from Proliance is sent and received on hand-held devices or mobile phones. Proliance and BusinessSuite work together to reduce duplicate clerical work, eliminate data entry errors, expedite billing and reduce working capital requirements, while enhancing accountability and timeliness of mobile workers.
“The JumpStart Wireless BusinessSuite delivers customizable wireless solutions based on the clients’ existing paper forms,” said James R. Chard, senior vice president of Corporate and Business Development. “Mobile workers readily adopt the wireless application because it is deployed on familiar devices, simplifies their work and requires a minimum of training. The wireless solutions provided by JumpStart allow the delivery of Meridian’s ILM capabilities to workers on the move in all types of facility-related businesses.”
“Extending the functionality of Proliance to the mobile worker improves facility and construction management by eliminating the need to be tied to the desk,” stated Mark Breunig, Meridian’s senior director of Business Development. “Our customers plan, build and operate complex real estate and infrastructure all over the globe. Giving them real-time, wireless access to Proliance—whenever and wherever they are—provide measurable business value.”
