The Vela Software Suite uses the Tablet PC platform to automate construction field operations for Prolog software users

(March 5, 2007) – Meridian Systems, a provider of enterprise project management software for optimizing capital projects, programs and facilities, today announced a new technology alliance with Vela Systems, Inc., developers of mobile software solutions that streamline and accelerate construction field operations via Tablet PCs. The Vela Software Suite extends Meridian’s Prolog® Manager software functionality to the field and expands on that functionality to automate specific project management processes.
Prolog software provides total construction project management control for large to mid-sized organizations including general contractors, architects, engineering firms and public and private owners and operators. As an authorized Meridian independent software vendor (ISV), Vela provides mobile technology solutions to Meridian customers and partners that support and enhance the capabilities of Prolog software.
