Moss & Associates Executes Complex Projects and Increases Sales by Standardizing on Prolog
Growing Florida construction management firm will use leading project management software to manage $1B in backlog work.
FOLSOM, Calif. (May 8, 2006) - Meridian Systems®, a leading provider of enterprise project management software for optimizing capital projects, programs and facilities, today announced that Moss & Associates (Moss), a Fort Lauderdale-based construction management firm, has standardized its project management processes using Prolog® Manager. In 2006, Moss will use Prolog to manage approximately 35 projects totaling more than $700M in revenue.
Founded in 2003 and managed by industry veterans, Moss has experienced explosive growth. With an estimated $1B in backlog work, Moss will depend on the standardization provided by Prolog to automate project management tasks throughout its enterprise, including purchasing, contract management, RFI tracking, change order processing, submittals, document management and field administration.
“Prolog is our primary tool for keeping our finger on the pulse of projects from an administrative standpoint,” said Scott Moss, Vice President/Project Executive. “Without Prolog, it would be very difficult to effectively execute the complex projects that our owners entrust us to complete.”
Moss worked with Intuitive Systems, a Florida consulting firm and Meridian Systems channel partner, to select and deploy Prolog. A primary factor in the firm’s decision to purchase Prolog was the ability to obtain a company-wide overview from the software’s reporting system. Another was self-hosting, which delivered flexibility and control.
In addition, the market share for Prolog was very appealing. Moss reports reduced training needs and increased recruiting success as a result of implementing Prolog because many of its current and prospective employees have used the software at other companies.
“Prolog enables us to manage jobs more efficiently, which allows more time to be spent on actual construction,” said Moss. “It also helps us attract good people that, in turn, help us satisfy our customers’ needs. Prolog positively affects company growth and sales.”
