GSA Public Buildings Service Selects Construction Project Management Software from Meridian Systems
Proliance software to be deployed across 11 GSA PBS regions
FOLSOM, Calif. (August 11, 2008) – Meridian Systems, a software solutions leader for improving capital program and construction project performance, announced today that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service (PBS) has selected Proliance® software for construction project management. GSA PBS will use Proliance software as its national enterprise electronic project management (ePM) system.
PBS is the largest public real estate organization in the country, with an inventory of over 342 million square feet of workspace. Proliance software improves capital project performance by streamlining the plan-build-operate lifecycle, and reducing development, construction and facility costs.
Proliance was selected as part of an open and competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process to procure one software central system of record for managing all construction project data. The objective of this selection process was to replace several technology applications in use today, and to standardize project management processes across all eleven GSA PBS procurement regions. GSA PBS selected Meridian in part because of its market leadership position; in fact, many construction organizations in GSA PBS supply chain are already users of Meridian solutions.
“GSA PBS is a market leader when it comes to public buildings procurement and construction, and we are excited to fulfill their project management technology needs,” said John Bodrozic, president and cofounder of Meridian Systems. “Their influence will surely drive our industry more quickly towards the interoperability of software systems within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) ecosystem; and we are happy to help this along with Proliance - a platform that’s ready to support that interoperability.”
Proliance uniquely combines project and portfolio management, facilities management, business workflow and business analytics into one system of record, enabling large enterprises to track how their real estate, construction and facilities portfolios are performing.
