Meridian is excited to announce the acquisition of the assets of Dimension 5 (D5) Solutions by Trimble Navigation Limited, (Trimble). D5 is a leading provider of productivity and collaboration software for all phases of the construction project lifecycle. This acquisition also includes the purchase of some assets of CTI, D5’s software development partner.
The D5 Solutions business will be integrated into the operations of Meridian Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trimble, and a leading provider of construction project management solutions to project-based organizations.
The addition of the D5 solution portfolio supports Trimble’s goal of providing customers with a constructible information flow across the design, manage, and build lifecycle for the construction, engineering and architectural communities. The acquisition extends the capabilities of Meridian Systems’ Prolog construction project management solution, already in use across more than 6,000 organizations.
D5 is a long-time Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner of Meridian Systems with extensive construction industry expertise. Their solutions, including the Encompass product suite, focus on enhancing the collection, verification, distribution and storage of paper-based and electronic project information. The acquisition provides increased value to our Prolog customers with expanded platform support for mobile devices, and with improved user productivity and data capture capabilities. D5 solutions enable intelligent data capture via mobile devices, email communications, and directly from file systems and FTP sites. In addition, Prolog customers will benefit from enhanced workflow, forecasting and cash flow functionality.
The D5 solution portfolio will continue to be offered to its customers under the Meridian Systems business.
