Meridian Project Systems wins Golden State Capital Network's Alumnus of the Year Award
GSCN recognizes two area companies at Sacramento's Golden State Venture Capital Conference
FOLSOM, Calif. (February 13, 2002) - Meridian Project Systems (Meridian) received Golden State Capital Network's Alumnus of the Year award at the Sacramento Golden State Venture Capital Conference's opening reception on Monday evening. Meridian shares the award with PowerSchool, a software company recently acquired by Apple. This is Golden State Capital Network's first annual Alumnus of the Year Award, presented to promote the importance of entrepreneurism and to honor successful companies that have raised investment capital, generated local economic impact and received significant industry recognition for their accomplishments. More than 250 companies that have participated in Golden State Capital Network's programs were eligible.
A fifteen-person selection committee comprised of investors and Golden State Capital Network Board members evaluated all of the applications to determine the winner. "We selected Meridian Project Systems as one of the two Alumnus of the Year recipients based on its phenomenal revenue growth and demonstrated capacity for future success," said, Jon Gregory, president and CEO of Golden State Capital Network.
