Today’s rapidly changing business climate is driving an evolution in project management solutions.
Capital construction projects require collaboration between a complex network of stakeholders in different locations, some with online access, some with offline access, all using different technology systems.Keeping everyone on the same page can be as complicated as it is critical to your success. That’s why Meridian Systems developed Prolog Converge.
Prolog Converge is a rich Web-based application and a powerful Web-services platform that provides flexible access to construction project data.
Powered by Prolog, the industry standard software for construction project management, Converge simplifies communication and collaboration between project teams and their technology systems by offering a Web-based user interface that’s easy to use, and by giving users choice in how they access project data, all together on a powerful technology platform.
The Prolog Converge user interface empowers project team members to make better decisions using up-to-date project information. Users can easily interact with project data, collaborate with team members, query data across multiple projects, and more
Easily view projects by status or region…Create new RFI’s…enter notes…attach contract drawings or other documents…and forward them to multiple contacts.
Through the Web services platform, Prolog Converge gives users the power of choice, by letting them view and manage project data using role-based interfaces. Whether it’s a project executive viewing roll-up reports via Microsoft Outlook, a superintendent who prefers to work in Excel, or a field worker on a tablet device, Prolog Converge facilitates user adoption and collaboration across the entire project team.
Prolog Converge leverages Microsoft Office Business Applications to securely exchange project data between Prolog and familiar desktop applications, like Excel. For example, when a project manager creates an RFI to be answered by the project architect, an automatic notification is sent to the Architect, who can use an Excel-based form to securely access and update the project data.
Role based interfaces can also allow mobile workers to compile data offline, and automatically synchronize later with the central Prolog system.
The powerful Web-services platform not only gives users choice of access, it also provides flexible integration options. By leveraging Prolog functionality and data over the Internet, the Web services platform makes it easy to connect Prolog Converge to other applications and devices and systems including BIM and financial systems.
